Who we are

SCAL Travel is a travel agency based in Ul. Bulevar Makedonsko-Kosovska Brigada 1, Skopje, North Macedonia. For any privacy questions, contact us at info@scaltravel.com. We are the data controller for personal information collected through this website.

What we collect

We collect only the data we need to arrange your trip:

• Contact details: full name, email, phone number, preferred language
• Passenger details (name, date of birth, passport / ID number) provided during booking
• Travel details: destination, dates, number of travellers, room preferences
• Messages you send us on this site or through our social channels
• Standard web-server logs (IP address, browser, referring page) for security and analytics

How we use it

Your data is used exclusively to:

• Search for flights, hotels, and other travel services that match your request
• Book and issue tickets and hotel reservations with the relevant suppliers
• Send you quotes, booking confirmations, and in-trip updates
• Respond to your questions via Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, phone, or email
• Keep records required by accounting and tax law

We do not sell or trade your personal data. We do not use it for unrelated marketing without your consent.

Who we share it with

We share only the minimum data required for your booking with the airlines, hotels, and transfer operators providing your trip. When you book, for example, the airline receives your passenger names and the hotel receives your check-in details. These suppliers act as independent data controllers for their own records.

We also use a small number of technical providers (database hosting, email, payment processing) that store data on our behalf. All are contractually obliged to protect your information and use it only as we instruct.

How long we keep it

Active booking records are kept for the duration of your trip plus 5 years to comply with accounting and consumer-protection law. Marketing contact details (if you opt in) are kept until you unsubscribe. Server logs are rotated after 30 days.

Your rights

Under applicable data-protection law (including GDPR-equivalent principles in North Macedonia), you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
• Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
• Object to or restrict processing
• Request a portable copy of your data
• Withdraw consent at any time (for processing based on consent)

Cookies

We use only essential cookies required to run the website (session tokens, CSRF protection, preferred language). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies without your consent. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this page and show a clear cookie banner.

Children

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. Bookings involving minors are made by the adult booking party, who is responsible for the minor's information.

We may update this policy as our processing changes. The current version is always available at /privacy. Material changes will be highlighted at the top of the page.
